If you grew up humming along to the radio in the late ’60s and early ’70s, clear your calendar for July 29th — because Binghamton is about to get one seriously groovy evening.
The legendary Happy Together Tour is making a stop right here at Visions Memorial Arena, and this year’s lineup may be the most impressive in the tour’s 17-year history. Featuring nine iconic acts and over 60 Billboard Top 40 hits under one roof, this is the kind of night that reminds you why that era produced some of the greatest pop music ever recorded.
🎵 About the Happy Together Tour
Now celebrating its 17th year on the road, the Happy Together Tour has become the gold standard of classic oldies revues. Named after The Turtles’ immortal 1967 hit, the tour has been packing theaters and arenas coast-to-coast with a rotating roster of genuine chart-toppers — the real artists, performing the real songs. No tribute acts, no covers — the genuine article.
In 2026, the tour criss-crosses the nation from late May through early September with over 50 dates, and Greater Binghamton is lucky enough to be one of them.
🌟 Meet the Acts
The Turtles
The marquee headliners and the tour’s namesake act. The Turtles are responsible for one of the most recognizable songs in pop history — “Happy Together” — along with smashes like “She’d Rather Be with Me,” “Elenore,” and “It Ain’t Me Babe.” Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman have kept the spirit of the group alive for decades, and their infectious energy on stage is the engine that drives the whole show.
The Association
One of the most melodically gifted bands of the entire decade, The Association racked up an astonishing string of hits: “Cherish,” “Windy,” “Never My Love,” “Along Comes Mary,” and “Everything That Touches You.” Their lush harmonies and sophisticated arrangements set them apart from virtually every act of their era. Seeing them live is a genuine treat.
The Troggs (Tour Debut!)
Making their first-ever appearance on the Happy Together Tour, The Troggs bring a raw, raucous energy to the bill that perfectly complements the evening’s sweeter sounds. Best known for the primal rock classic “Wild Thing,” they also gave the world “Love is All Around” (yes, the song Wet Wet Wet later covered to great fame) and “With a Girl Like You.” Their tour debut is reason alone to grab tickets.
Jason Scheff (Formerly of Chicago)
For over three decades — from 1985 to 2016 — Jason Scheff was the bass player and lead/co-lead vocalist of one of rock’s greatest bands, Chicago. He’ll be bringing the horn-driven magic of that legendary group to Binghamton, performing beloved classics like “25 or 6 to 4,” “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “You’re the Inspiration,” and “Will You Still Love Me?” This is a rare solo showcase from a man whose voice powered some of the biggest radio hits of the ’80s.
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap
Smooth, powerful, and unmistakable, Gary Puckett’s tenor voice was inescapable on AM radio in 1968. “Young Girl,” “Woman, Woman,” “Lady Willpower,” and “Over You” all became massive hits, and Puckett’s voice remains as compelling as ever. This is classic pop showmanship at its finest.
The Fortunes
The British Invasion is well-represented by The Fortunes, who scored big on both sides of the Atlantic with their bright, hooky sound. “You’ve Got Your Troubles,” “Here It Comes Again,” and “That Same Old Feeling” are all in their arsenal — the kind of songs that make you feel like you’re riding in a convertible on a sunny summer afternoon.
Ron Dante (The Voice of The Archies)
Think you don’t know Ron Dante? Think again. If you’ve ever found yourself singing “Sugar, Sugar” — one of the best-selling singles of 1969 — you’ve heard his voice. Dante was the studio voice behind The Archies’ animated bubblegum masterpieces, and he’s also widely known as Barry Manilow’s longtime producer. He’ll bring that irresistible sweetness front and center.
The Vogues
Pittsburgh’s own The Vogues delivered some of the most beautifully crafted pop of the era, including “Five O’Clock World,” “Turn Around, Look at Me,” and “My Special Angel.” Their tight vocal blend and timeless songs have held up remarkably well, and their live performances never fail to delight.
The Cowsills
A genuine family band ahead of their time, The Cowsills scored major hits with “The Rain, the Park and Other Things” and the counterculture anthem “Hair.” Their story — siblings performing together and inspiring the creation of TV’s The Partridge Family — is one of rock history’s most fascinating, and their harmonies still sound absolutely beautiful.
