
1) Why did you get into broadcasting? It all started with my older brothers having turntables and equipment. They used to do parties all over the Southern Tier. Then when I was about 12-13 years old I used to sneak into my brothers room and practice. My brother wanted to take me out but my mother saw that I had a serious interest in music and DJing. When I was a junior at BHS, a friend of mine told me about a publically owned station that was starting in our area. Went in for a meeting and started DJing Jazz on the station.
2) What is your most memorable radio moment? 2 Way Tie: Being asked to introduce the Temptations and the Four Tops at Binghamton University on June 30th 2023. Sitting in on trombone with the Jimmy Sturr Orchestra.
3) What is your personal motto? Take a look around at the things you have and love and don’t then for granted. Because the next time you look around, they might be gone.
4) If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be? Reading minds.
5) If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what album would it be? Stevie Wonder’s Original Musiquarium I
6) What song might someone catch you singing in the shower? Wichita Lineman – Glen Campbell, Just The Way You Are – Billy Joel, Ain’t No Sunshine – Bill Withers
7) What else should we know about you? I am a multi-instrumentalist and a lover of music from many different genres. I have played with World Class Jazz Musicians. Grammy award winning Polka artists. And a number of diverse, local bands that play music from all different styles of music. For instance, the current band I am in is a Grateful Dead Tribute band called “Ship of Phools.” The O’Jays said it best “I Love Music!”
